last two days

cologne (g) april 22end
i wake up in my cloths(seems like i was really tired when i went to bed) and have a semi-okay breakfast at our hostel. if you like small rooms, mouldy walls, showers without light and unkind staff, than this is your place to stay in bruges. book you room at charlie rockets'!
we walk through the beautiful streets and rivers of bruges, seeing verena's doppelgänger and eating some nice vegetarian burger. did i ever mention that i'm in love with belgium? well, a cow on the motorway is still a weird thing, but i think every relationship has some weird aspects. no doubt about that!!!
we drive to cologne to stay at fabian's place. he's a friend of georg. it turns out that he's living in a former railway station. we're playing an acoustic set. feel kinda sick, so i go to bed very early(seems like i'm always the first one to go to bed), but i can hear the others jamming outside til 4 o'clock in the morning.

egelsee (g) april 23nd
we're getting up kinda early and having a nice breakfast with fabian and his family. they treat us so kind since the first minute we've arrived, it's unbelievable. can't thank you enough.
we have to be at egelsee at 4 o'clock.
we arrive at 5 o' clock.
still too early.
there are 6 bands playing tonight, so we brag with our black fucking magic skills. seems like nobody really cares. whatever...
first band(i'm sorry, totally forgot their name) were 3 nice dudes playing some streetpunk(like most of all the other bands). i was wondering if anybody would listen to us, as both of us - brackets closed and the liberation service are not so much of a streetpunkband. seems like the people there were not so much into it, however they give us some credit and listening to us. fair enough.
we're leaving while flatfoot 56 are doing a screeching weasel cover. really really really nice people, though... i can't unserstand why they're playing a screeching weasel song, after their singer(screeching weasel's) punched a girl in the face during a live set. stupid asshole!!!
we're leaving around midnight. i drink too much energy drinks while driving through the night. always the same... late night drive plus energy drinks always leads to stomacheache. we're arriving egelsee at 6 in the morning and loading all the stuff into georg's and brackets closed's bus. some goodbye-hugs and we're good to go. we arrive oberwart at 11 o'clock in the moring. at least it feels like morning to us.

8 days.
more than 4000km.
a hell load of stress.
beeing tired all the time.

BUT

good shows.
loads of nice people
and last but not least...
...black fucking magic.

...can't wait to go on tour again!!!

blankenberge (b) april 21st

belgium - i NEVER would have thought that you're that cool!
while driving to the location we play a game called "black magic" the guys from astpai and one win choice introduced us to the night before(next time you see me - ask about it). we arrive at the venue(which used to be a surfer club) very early and go to the seaside. it's only 5 minutes to walk.
there is no real PA system. georg uses his interface and his block rocker. i really don't want to advertise things on this blog, but the block rocker is just the best invention ever.
we really expect nothing for the show, but it turns out to be the best show so far. belgium, you aren't strange at all... at least this time. sven, thank you very much for everything!
after the show we head to brugge, which is definetely one of the top 10 places i've ever been to. if you have the chance, check it out! it's beautiful.
we're getting a parking lot just in front of the hostel. it's kinda disgusting, but whatever... time to sleep!!!

tour update... after a lack of updates

ebensee - april 17th

waking up in neustadt. going to the rehearsal room.

we're playing a nice show in ebensee but we're already too late to play the show in schwanenstadt which is a real bummer.

although just a few people show up, the show turns out to be really nice.

we're trying to find a company, where we could rent a trailer, have a meal and going to bed. thanks to andi for setting up the show and offering us a place to stay.

geneva (ch) 18th

we're leaving andi's place at 8 o' clock, trying to rent a trailer and had some luck for once, as we got the last available trailer which can be driven by just having a B-driving-license. the only problem is that isn't a closed one, so we can't leave anything in the trailer. we're heading to geneva around 10 and finally arrive at tiki's pub at. many bands we like played there before(flatliners, rentokill, dead to me, in-sane, caves, pj bond and on and on and on...). rüfi is also there. the shows are ok, except martin had some serious problems with his pedal board and my voice is in really bad shape.

we pack our stuff and drive to the sleeping place and get the backline out of the trailer. it turns out that we have to share the room with some sleeping strangers(which doesn't have to be necessarily a bad thing), nevertheless most of us are exhausted as fuck and fall asleep in a few seconds.

luxemberg april 19th

we get up at 10 o' clock having a coffee at lukes' place(thanks for everything) and heading to luxemburg. driving more than 8 hours(again). we have to pay 54€ fee for just driving 4 hours on the french motorway. we finally arrive luxemburg, which turns out to be a beautiful city. we're playing second of four bands. the promoter tells us not to animate people to jump, because the venue is on the second floor. it's brackets closed best show so far. especially bernhard did a good job this time!

after the brackets closed set we decide to cancel the show in marks' house. but we can't effort paying another 50€ fee to get the paris and another 50€ to get belgium again, which is a real shame!!! (sry mark, can't wait to see you again)

we don't have a place to sleep in luxemburg and plan to go straight to belgium that night. just a few hours before we leave a girl asks martin and me if we already have a place to sleep. that moment all 9 of us fall in love with her. natacha is her name and she's awesome!!! (!!!). we stay at her house and we're having a sauna(believe it or not). the "chaos tour" turns into the "nervous breakdown tour" and now finally... WELLNESS TOUR! also having the first shower within 3 days and going to bed with a big smile!

day off - leiden (nl) - april 20th

we get up around 11 o' clock. i cook some chili con tofu for us and our lovely host natacha. we decide to drive to the netherlands, because our friends from ASTPAI are playing there. belgium can be a strange place. a cow takes a walk on the motorway. did i ever mention that belgium is a strange place?

we arrive leiden in time... at least soon enough to hear two astpai songs. we also have the chance to play an acoustic set. really makes my day.

i'm going to sleep in our van tonight... so long, over and out.

wr neustadt

had a really nice show @ bandhaus, wr neustadt. too much pizza, too much vegan kebab! too much beer? well, not for me. some of us drove back to martin's place and now we're heading back to neustadt and try to get all of the backline into the van. mission impossible? definetly, as it seems like we're not even having enough space to bring our personal stuff. it's getting cosy! hope everody has already taken a shower.

yesterday peio from despite everything convinced me to start a blog and so i did . still slightly confused about how blogspot works and how to write a proper blog entry. . .  nevertheless here we go.

first of all everybody should go to wr neustadt tonight to see the incredible despite everything from greece (sweetest people ever) and igel vs. shark!!!

concerning tour...

after months of writing thousands of emails and receiving even more negative replies, we finally finished booking our first euro tour with our friends brackets closed.

if you're in town check out one of our shows or at least stop by to have a beer with us(or a soda).

can't wait! so stoked!
